I fear the day my teenage daughter leaves for college/university.
I have raised her alone since birth and my entire life revolves around her. Every single thing I do is for her. Every moment I make is because of her.
My entire life revolves around her and she IS my life - the blood that runs through my veins and the air that I breathe.
She's growing up. She will eventually leave. I won't know what to do with myself after that.
I am scared to death.

Have no fear dear...this too shall pass...face it head on. I have 3 sons all on their own now...it was sad, frustrating, lonely.every emotion you can imagine I LIVED IT! I raised my children alone too..they were my every thought for years...its ok ...you have so much more to do and share with others..and i thought i had nothing left...LOL! get to living girl! its your time now! wooohooo!!
I admire your beautiful devotion to your daughter. I, too, had (and have) such a mother.
Your daughter will never truly "leave." She will be devoted to you for life, just as you have been to her.
I am in the same situation! I can tell you she has gone to College now and I feel closer to her than ever!! I hope that is comforting to you as her short calls and texts are so loving and sweet. I honestly think she now realizes all the sacrifices and dedication I gave to her and for her. I know I have a wonderful daughter in her and she will do great things with her life. I also told her when she is rich and famous she has to build me a house in her back yard so I can be with her always lol. She suprised me by saying "of course mom, I would not have it any other way".
